Op de valreep, hebben wij afgelopen zondag de tentoonstelling van An Moonen bezocht. Wij, bestond uit

Merel (Birdblocks) en ikzelf, voor de gelegenheid maar even "Team Nieuwezijds" gedoopt! En wat een leut hadden we, in de auto!! De quilts waren prachtig, en ik heb 101 foto's gemaakt van mijn favoriet "Gooische Meisjes", met die ieniemienie sterretjes! Het gaat me niet zo zeer om de sterretjes, maar vooral om de vrolijke stofjes... Kijk nou toch eens;
Last sunday, we from den Haan & Wagenmakers, and our neighbour of Birdblocks, went to the exhibition of antique Dutch quilts, owned by An Moonen (top picture). The following pictures, are of my personal favorite, "Gooische Meisjes", that is featured in the new book by Petra Prins ;
Op de foto van Merel en Elsbeth, zien jullie hoe klein het quiltje is. De sterretjes zijn maar 7 x 7 cm!! Ook de andere quilt waren prachtig, maar ik denk dat dit wel even genoeg foto's waren?
I love this quilt, for the fantastic fabrics that were combined!! The stars are just 7 x 7 cm, thats less then 3" square! The foto of Elsbeth and Merel, tells you just how small the quilt is.
